Recently, crazed conservative radio host Michael Savage went on an anti-Islam tirade which, even by his own standards, was way over the top.
Of course, we know that Michael Savage (his real name is Michael Weiner by the way - not sure if it’s pronounced “Weener” or “Whiner”, but either way aptly describes him) simply represents what most neo-cons think, but simply could not say without getting kicked out of their media jobs.

Now normally, CAIR would issue a ridiculous statement in their press release about Islamophobia, call for radio stations to stop hosting his program, very little or anything would be done, and the bigots stupidity would continue.
Not this time.
This time, CAIR got it right. This time, CAIR hamstrung Weiner so well, it will be a lesson to all the other neo-cons who profiteer from denigrating Islam and Muslims.
As someone who catches his program on a hour drive home through Chicago rush hour traffic, you learn a few things about a host along the way. One of them is that Weiner is a cheap person, who prostitutes anything and everything about himself on a regular basis. He even tried to sell listeners his acceptance speech of his Freedom of Speech award 
Anyway, long story short, instead of going after Weiner directly, CAIR went after his advertisers and has launched a netroots campaign among Muslims designed to rip out his intestines and feed it to him. Advertisers are sent the audio feed of his commentary and then asked if they would like to continue supporting him, and of course, who would want to support the above audio sounds bites?
Needless to say, he’s already lost some big advertisers - he’s lost Citrix Systems (you may not know who they are, but in the IT world, trust me, they’re pretty big), and he’s just lost OfficeMax. More advertisers are on their way out, and believe me, Weiner was “weining” (pronounced whining) about it on his show recently. Like all other hosts, once the money starts walking, his bosses will muzzle him. They don’t care about his views, after all. They simply care about the money his rants bring in, and when they stop bringing in money, his rants are no longer needed.
Now, normally, you’d probably say to yourself, big deal, who cares about this Michael Weiner guy, he’s the same as all the other neo-con pundits, right? Not quite. Weiner’s program is the #3 program after Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh (believe me, that irks him), and so knocking this guy on his rear end will have an effect where you can say, yes, something substantial was done to advance the cause of Islam and Muslims in this country.
Kudos to CAIR for finally figuring it out and getting it right. No more of this politically correct crap, and no more talking - just results that go straight for the jugular. Whoever wants to support them further can click here and read their recommended steps of action to help out.
Lets say they succeed in getting rid of this guy from his current radio show he will just move to satellite radio where he can say and do whatever he wants. So putting him out of business is a good goal but its impact will be minimal.
The main problem with CAIR and like minded people is one of Manhaj and not realizing what Allah has said in the Quran that the Jews and Christians will never be pleased with us until we accept there way.
Kicking some guys off the air from a radio show will only go so far we should take an example from what the Muslims of Europe have done where they are actually feared.
I agree - I’ve seen interviews with CAIR in which they talk about supporting not just Muslim holidays, but all holidays and helping out in supporting them as well (which is just daft).
However, I don’t look at organizations like CAIR as either 100% good or 100% evil - the concept itself doesn’t exist, and there is evidence from the Sunnah that we can even take benefit from those who are evil if they spoke the truth or did something correct.
With CAIR, regardless of my disagreements with their approach, I still see them as Muslims who do mean well, and further, as Muslims who everyone turns to when they fall into trouble (I’ve even seen some of our more hardcore anti-CAIR brothers do this when they’ve found themselves in unfamiliar waters with the law). If they do something good, I think it’s just to acknowledge that, and encourage them forward to do more of it.
Would Weiner end up on XM or Sirius if they were truly successful? Maybe, maybe not. Maybe he’ll end up like Imus, trying to get back on mainstream radio, but verbally shackled. There are many possibilities, but you never know until you try.

This guy has millions of supporters like Howard Stern (another guy who was kicked off the mainstream airways) and got onto satellite radio and is doing great. So the probability is high that he will end up there as well.
Well, he has millions of listeners, but how many of them are supporters? There are a lot of people like myself who listen just to hear what views he has, and what propaganda is out there.
Stern, on the other hand, is just a pervert doing perverted things, playing to the base desires of stupid people.

Well the web poll on this website show he has around 30 million people who believe he should run for the presidency. I am sure there is a margin of error but thats still a big number.
I listen to him everyday for good three hours to have laughs, it does not make me his supporter. Honestly whatever he claims (28 millions visitors and kind of stuff ) makes me think “how this guy ever manage to earn a Ph.D” , but now a days i’m enjoying his crying about “getting off the air” .

Savage is not anti muslim. He is infact anti muslim-extremist. He is anti terrorism. He is anti illegal alien. You all hear what you want to hear, but do not actually listen.
Mr. Mike Savage is not, nor has he ever said anything that would suggest he is against Islam. Many good muslims around the world are victims of muslim extremist. If your not careful, one day you will be a victim of muslim extremist also. CAIR is a false prophet and many know this.
